Job summary

The Salvation Army in Adrian, MI seeks a Family Store Driver/Processor to pick up and deliver donated items and process merchandise when time allows. You will ensure donor service, keep the truck clean and fueled, and price clothing as directed.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), ability to maintain confidentiality, basic computer skills, and a valid chauffeur’s license with MVR checks; Safe From Harm training must be completed.

Position Summary: The Family Store Driver / Processor is responsible for picking up and delivering donated items and processing donated materials when time is available.

• Picks up, unloads, and delivers donations
• Provides excellent customer service with donors
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and ensures it is fueled, reporting any damage and maintenance needs to manager
• Process all merchandise efficiently and properly
• Price clothing per direction
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Maintain strict confidentiality

Computer Skills:

• Basic Computer operation knowledge
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office 365

Certificates and Licenses:

• Must have and maintain a current valid chauffer’s license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
