Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Fort Wayne seeks a Community Center Coordinator to lead and manage all aspects of the corps community center ministries. You will develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive portfolio of community programs, manage facilities, schedules, and budgets, and engage in community relations and marketing while upholding the Salvation Army mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in office and administration preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and Safe From Harm training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily oversight of Community Center activities.
• Collaborate with program directors and community partners to ensure program success.
• Communicate needs and success of the Community Center to schools, service clubs, and media.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Evaluate programs and adjust for population changes and needs.
• Develop and update promotional plans to maximize participation.
• Coordinate schedules for programs and facility usage.
• Assist with rentals, payments, and staffing as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Salvation Army policies and risk management.
• Maintain program registrations, documents, and databases.
• Maintain calendars and keep up with technology.
• Engage with divisional headquarters and community stakeholders.
• Demonstrate ethical leadership and inclusive conduct.
