Delco Pa is seeking a County Caseworker 1 to provide direct service to families in need, focusing on assessments, guidance, and support to keep children safe and stable in daily life.

Your duties include conducting family assessments, coordinating services, helping place children in foster homes, delivering counseling to families, and conducting home/community visits. This role offers a supportive environment with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Formación

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college coursework including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• A bachelor's degree including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Direct Service: Conduct assessments and investigations for families.
• Case Management: Coordinate services and maintain documentation for each case.
• Child Placement: Assist with placing children into safe and supportive foster homes.
• Family Support: Provide counseling and guidance to children and caregivers.
• Community Visits: Perform most duties through home and community visits.
