Job summary

Orange County Government in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Financial/Program Manager within the Family Services Department. The role oversees financial operations, budget development, and compliance, while supervising a multidisciplinary team.

Strong grants management and reporting responsibilities are central to the position. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration (or related field) with several years of financial management and supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences or a closely related field with four years of experience in financial management of a program section or business unit, including two years supervisory experience.
• In lieu of the degree requirements, additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversees all financial and budgetary operations for the division.
• Develops, administers, and monitors the division’s operating and capital budgets.
• Performs revenue and expenditure projections and uses financial data to support decisions.
• Monitors revenue collections and ensures proper allocation and disbursement of funds.
• Oversees procurement of goods and services for the division.
• Reviews financial, budgetary, admin and Board reports for accuracy and informed decision making.
• Supervises and manages a diverse team including fiscal, contracts, compliance, licensure and facilities staff.
• Oversees personnel matters including hiring, discipline, training and performance appraisals.
• Ensures compliance with contract, grant and licensure requirements.
• Prepares and monitors grant and contract applications and compliance activities.
• Presents program reports to Advisory Boards and prepares quarterly/annual reports.
• Prepares items for the Board of County Commission agenda.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director.
