Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, seeks a Controller to lead financial operations, budgeting, grant management and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This hands-on role drives financial integrity and supports youth programs.

The role oversees payroll, audits, and the rollout of a new finance system integrating Ramp, ADP, Salesforce and Martus, with a focus on internal controls and strategic planning. Requires nonprofit accounting experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Seven years of accounting experience, with at least two years at the Director/Controller level.
• Experience in nonprofit finance or government grant funding required.
• Experience with grant management and compliance oversight.
• Experience implementing Sage Intacct and integrating with financial software.

Responsibilities

• Compiles regular financial reports to support management-level decision-making and fiscal health.
• Delivers timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external use.
• Responsible for the month-end close process and timely reconciliation of all accounts.
• Identifies financial trends reflecting efficiency, including labor management savings and KPI improvements.
• Develops SOPs, guidance documents, and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Monitors day-to-day accounting processes (AP, AR, payroll, revenue recognition, cash management).
• Manages coordination of Ramp, ADP, Martus, Salesforce, and ERP systems for effectiveness.
