Job summary

Sci Corp in Charlotte, NC seeks a Family Service Counselor to serve families with personalized pre-need and at-need cemetery services. You will be the primary contact, supporting revenue goals and ensuring compassionate, compliant client interactions.

Responsibilities include prospecting, presenting to families, building trust, and coordinating with funeral directors to deliver high-quality service. Requires flexibility with evenings/weekends and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospect at least 1-2 hours daily and obtain referrals from families.
• Build relationships with families: respond to inquiries, listen actively and provide value.
• Teamwork: collaborate with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless service.
• Prepare for appointments and ensure professionalism and attention to detail.
• Follow up on all family concerns and requests while educating about pre-planning benefits.
