Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Family Service Counselor in the Columbus, OH area to assist families with cemetery and pre-need arrangements, delivering personalized service and driving revenue for the location.

You will lead generation activities, build trust with families, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with funeral directors and staff to ensure seamless, compassionate service. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of college or equivalent education and experience.
• 1–2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Ability to drive frequently; valid license.

Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: prospect daily, obtain referrals, build community relationships, present to families, track activity.
• Build Relationships with Families: respond to inquiries, listen, understand needs, provide value, maintain contact.
• Teamwork: collaborate with funeral directors, managers and staff to ensure high-quality service.
