The Family Service Counselor role focuses on lead generation, building lasting relationships with families, and collaborating with funeral directors and staff to deliver high-quality service while meeting revenue goals. Requires strong communication, empathy, and a sales mindset; expects some evenings and weekends and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.
• Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Insurance license if required by state law.
• Must pass the company’s internal presentation certification within 30 days.
• Ability to work evenings/weekends.
• Ability to drive frequently.

Responsabilités

• Lead Generation: prospecting 1-2 hours daily, obtain referrals, build community ties, present to families, track activity levels.
• Build Relationships with Families: respond to inquiries, listen actively, tailor solutions, follow up for satisfaction, prepare for appointments, resolve issues, seek referrals.
• Teamwork: coordinate with funeral directors and staff, review past interactions, share family concerns with SCI team.
