SCI is seeking a Family Service Counselor at our Sanford, FL location to assist families with cemetery arrangements and pre-need plans. The role focuses on prospecting, referrals, and building trusted relationships through empathetic service.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, presenting solutions, and coordinating with directors to ensure a smooth client experience from first contact through aftercare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: prospect daily, obtain referrals, network with community, present to families, track activity.
• Build Relationships with Families: respond to inquiries professionally, listen actively, understand needs, stay in touch, prepare for appointments, handle requests.
• Teamwork: collaborate with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless service, review past contacts to support current needs, share family concerns.
