Job summary

Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Family Service Counselor to generate leads, build relationships with families, and coordinate with funeral directors and staff to provide compassionate, comprehensive pre-need and at-need services. The role emphasizes high-quality service, strong communication, and adherence to scheduling and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities include prospecting, presenting to families, gathering referrals, and ensuring follow-up to secure ongoing trust

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required.
• Insurance license if required by state may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospect daily, obtain referrals, network, present to families, track activity.
• Build relationships with families: respond to inquiries, listen, identify needs, provide solutions, follow up.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure seamless service and handoffs.
• Review past services and contacts to support current needs and sales, share family concerns with team.
