Job summary

CAMBA Healthy Families Program seeks a Family Resource/Support Specialist to work with pregnant/new parents and families in Brooklyn. The role centers on administering the FROG Scale, identifying strengths, and linking families to resources within a home-based, supportive framework.

Responsibilities include regular in-home visits (one hour each), building trusting relationships, and documenting progress for program reporting.

Qualifications

• Good communication and writing skills, knowledge of community resources for referrals.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and adapt to diverse families.
• Willingness for reflective supervision and ongoing training.
• Bilingual Haitian Creole highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth (FROG) Scale with families to identify strengths and areas to address at service start.
• Maintain regular and long-term contact with families, primarily in home visits; virtual visits as needed.
• Deliver family-centered, strength-based interventions to promote parent-child relationships and child development.
• Provide referrals to community resources and create/maintain participant files.
• Prepare and contribute to weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
