Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Family Resource Coordinator in the Beaver area

Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years, dedicated to helping individuals and families with life's changing needs. The agency provides programs and services to support those with special needs in reaching their full potential. Position Summary

The Family Resource Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and conducting child developmental screenings for children aged birth to 5 years at daycares, preschools, and in private sessions. Responsibilities include administering, scoring, interpreting results, providing education, developmentally appropriate activities, and referrals to parents, teachers, and professionals. The coordinator also engages in community outreach by planning and participating in resource, health, and education events. Supporting families through temporary crises by coordinating services among government, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations to prevent Children and Youth Services (CYS) involvement is also key.

Schedule

This full-time position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekends off.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Sociology, Family Studies, Psychology, or related Human Services field
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Early Childhood Development, Early Intervention, Early Education, Healthcare, or Human Services
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license permitting operation of a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania
  • Proficiency with basic computer tasks and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of child development and assessment experience with family units in home-based settings
