Job summary

Utah State University is seeking a highly organized and student-centered Parent Orientation Program Coordinator to support Parent and Family Programs and coordinate communications, events, and engagement initiatives for families and supporters of prospective, incoming, and current students.

The role involves program logistics, staff supervision, and collaboration with campus partners to improve family engagement and student success across USU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of progressively responsible related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience contributing to programs, projects, or communication plans.
• Experience with parent and family programs or a related field at an educational institution.
• Experience managing communications across different populations.
• Experience with CRM systems or orientation software (ADG, CampusESP, Blackthorn).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver parent and family programs, services, and engagement initiatives across the USU system.
• Develop, schedule, and manage communications for parents and supporters across email, web, and other platforms.
• Plan and execute parent and family events, including orientation programs and engagement activities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for parents and supporters and connect families with campus resources.
• Collaborate with university departments and campus partners to develop resources and programming for student success.
• Maintain and update program content across websites and orientation systems.
• Utilize technology platforms and data tools to manage programs and monitor engagement.
• Assist with hiring, training, supervision, and development of student employees.
• Support sponsorship, partnership, and outreach efforts to enhance engagement.
• Collect and analyze feedback to identify needs and improve programs.
• Represent SOTS at university events, presentations, and outreach activities.
