Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is recruiting full-time Support Staff for the Family Program at the Mather Community Campus.

You will deliver compassionate, non-judgmental service to residents while supporting safety, program objectives, and daily operations. The role includes coordinating meals and routines, documenting activities, responding to crises, and collaborating with staff and external partners.

Qualifications

• Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with Residents and staff.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting and coordination.
• Ability to assist others and support residents in daily activities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Analytical and decision-making abilities in crisis and daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Explain program rules to residents and ensure observance.
• Coordinate meals, sleeping, showers, and daily routines.
• Provide awake shift coverage and security checks.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance as needed.
• Maintain daily reports and program logs for compliance.
• Perform clerical duties and on-shift communication.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment and adhere to policies.
• Assist in training and development of new staff.
