Job summary

Community Legal Aid (CLA) is seeking a Case Manager for the Family Preservation Project in Worcester, MA. The role supports families involved with DCF, aiming to keep children safely with their families and minimize trauma from removal.

You will work with a parent advocate and attorney to assist clients in the community. Responsibilities include conducting clinical intakes, intensive case management, advocating with DCF, and facilitating weekly FPP team meetings.

Qualifications

• College graduate; MSW or BSW strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Demonstrated concern for and commitment to helping low-income people.
• Ability to navigate community resources.
• Ability to work in an interactive, supportive team with high expectations.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and solve problems in real time.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical intakes to determine points of vulnerability and advocacy needs.
• Perform intensive case management and connect clients with community resources; follow up with team and clients.
