Job summary

Advocate Health West Bend Family Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour work week. The position includes clinical duties such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting providers with procedures, as well as specimen collection and POCT under CLIA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program, holds a current BLS certification, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork in a busy clinic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs and history.
• Assists provider with procedures and patient testing.
• Performs venipuncture and lab-related duties.
• Administers medications and vaccines as directed.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and accurate records.
