Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and maintains competency.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, medication reconciliation.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication administration rights.
• Cross trained for duties relevant to clinic practice and supports patient communication.
