Job summary

Atrium Health West Bend Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for a 40-hour work week. You will perform patient intake, vitals, medication reconciliation, and assist providers with procedures in a busy clinic.

Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; strong communication and computer skills; EMR experience preferred. Schedule: Mon Tue Thu Fri 8:00–5:00, Wed 8:00–10:00. No weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Proficient in routine and complex clinical tasks within MA scope.
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication abilities.
• Able to operate EMR systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs vitals, histories, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture.
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived tests as required.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
