Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant for the Beloit Clinic West Side Clinic. The role includes clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced setting, with a 36-hour week and first shift schedule.

You will support physicians, obtain vitals, document records, and assist with procedures to ensure quality patient care. Requirements include CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, CPR within 3 months, and 2 years of clinical experience preferred, especially in Family Practice

Qualifications

• Current certification as CMA, RMA, or CCMA at time of hire.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.
• Experience in Family Practice preferred with EMR use.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient documentation and medical records before appointments.
• Escort patient to exam room, obtain vitals and update records.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Verify and document procedure consents.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications as ordered and document treatment.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Support patient and family education.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Complete prior authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Process forms such as FMLA and disability paperwork.
• Manage medication refill requests per protocol.
• Triage phone calls under supervision of a licensed professional.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and supply inventory.
• Stock exam rooms and participate in quality improvement.
