Job summary

Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Chickasha, OK is seeking a Family Peer Level I to provide advocacy, guidance, and connection to services for children enrolled in the Health Team. You will work with families and the Health Team to assess needs, set goals, and navigate the treatment system, emphasizing informal community supports.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a caregiver of a child, youth, or young adult with mental health or behavioral health challenges.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between families and DHS, courts, hospitals, schools and other agencies.
• Provide liaison functions between Health Team and community services.
• Transport families and children to locations as needed.
• Organize and lead parent/youth support groups.
• Attend required meetings and document activities promptly.
• Build rapport with families and community partners.
• Promote community education on PTSD and acute mental health crises.
