Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Chandler, OK is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to provide rehabilitation and peer support across emergency, outpatient, or inpatient settings.

The role involves facilitating wellness activities, crisis intervention under supervision, and advocating for client voice in treatment teams to promote self-directed recovery tools. Eligibility includes PRSS Certification or recovery experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current PRSS Certification or demonstrated recovery from a mental health diagnosis, substance use disorder, or both.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to self-disclose about personal recovery journey.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain effective relationships with clients and staff.
• Must complete all in-service and external training requirements.
• Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates activities in nutrition and exercises for physical health.
• Provides support regarding medications' effects on physical health.
• Helps clients develop physical wellness plans and implementation support.
• Teaches and mentors the value of recovery experiences.
• Models coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Assists clients in articulating personal recovery goals.
