Job summary

A-Line Staffing is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care for a full-time position in Frederick, Maryland. The role requires providing primary care to patients 18 months and older, with a schedule of 3–4 days per week and alternating weekends.

The ideal candidate holds an active FNP license with 1+ year in primary care or related settings, plus experience with EPIC EMR, comprehensive assessments, prescriptions, and preventive care services.

Qualifications

• Active FNP license and 1+ year of primary care experience.
• Experience in urgent care, ER, or internal/family medicine.
• Willingness to work full-time with a 3–4 day week and alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients 18 months+ in a primary care setting.
• Perform assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and order/interpret tests per licensure and guidelines.
• Manage common conditions (respiratory, UTIs, dermatology, allergies, minor injuries).
• Deliver preventive care: vaccinations, screenings, exams.
• Conduct women’s health evaluations; refer to OB/GYN as needed.
• Monitor chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, asthma).
• Educate patients on disease management and medications.
• Document encounters in EPIC EMR with compliance to standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and teams for continuity of care.

Hours

Family Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care Hours 3-4 days a week, includes working every other weekend Monday - Friday 8:30am-7:30pm, Saturday 9AM - 5:30PM, Sunday 9AM - 4:30PM

Compensation

The pay for this position is $75.00 an hour

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients 18 months of age and older in a primary care setting
• Perform advanced patient assessments, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, and develop treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and order/interpreting diagnostic tests in accordance with state licensure and clinical guidelines
• Manage common conditions including respiratory infections, UTIs, dermatologic conditions, allergies, and minor injuries
• Deliver preventive care services including vaccinations, health screenings, and routine physical examinations
• Conduct women's health evaluations including pregnancy testing and STI screening; refer to OB/GYN for specialized care as needed
• Monitor and manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma
• Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and preventive health strategies
• Document all patient encounters in EPIC - electronic medical records ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals
