Join our team as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care, working in Muscle Shoals, Florence, Decatur, and Cullman, Alabama. This PRN position offers flexible, as-needed shifts.

Job Summary

You will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, diagnosing, treating, and educating on a variety of acute and chronic conditions. The role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals, with full-time staff working rotating 12-hour shifts and every-other weekend, while PRN staff work on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service.
• Lead and assist during emergencies, maintaining a calming presence.
• Perform medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups, including procedures like laceration repairs, injections, and abscess drainage.
• Monitor and establish appropriate care levels.
• Support onsite labs, x-rays, and other services as applicable.
• Maintain clinical competencies and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in policy development, staff education, and clinic growth initiatives.
• Represent the clinic at meetings and events, providing guidance to medical staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of provider experience.
• State licensure as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
• DEA license or willingness to obtain.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain.
