Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our healthcare team across centers in Muscle Shoals, Florence, Decatur, and Cullman, Alabama. PRN shifts are currently available.

Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients of all ages with various acute and chronic conditions. You will diagnose, treat, educate, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care. Full-time team members work rotating 36-40 hour weeks, while PRN staff are scheduled as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Lead and assist during emergencies, maintaining a reassuring presence.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with variable hours and locations.
• Perform assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Monitor and establish appropriate care levels for patients.
• Oversee laboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections on-site, if applicable.
• Maintain clinical competencies and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in policy development, education programs, and clinic growth initiatives.
• Represent the organization at meetings and events, providing guidance to staff to ensure quality and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of provider experience
• State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant
• Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
• DEA license or willingness to obtain
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain
• BLS certification
