Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our healthcare team at centers in Muscle Shoals, Florence, Decatur, and Cullman, Alabama. PRN shifts are currently available.

Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will deliver exceptional medical care to patients of all ages with various acute and chronic conditions. Working collaboratively, you will diagnose, treat, educate, and ensure high standards of care. Full-time team members work 36-40 hours/week with rotating shifts, while PRN staff work on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Lead and assist during emergencies while maintaining patient comfort.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with variable hours and locations.
• Perform assessments, treatments, and follow-up care for primary, urgent, occupational, DOT, and workers' compensation patients.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Establish and monitor appropriate care levels.
• Oversee on-site labs, x-rays, and collections if applicable.
• Maintain clinical competencies and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in policy development, education, and clinic growth initiatives.
• Represent the clinic at meetings and events as needed.
• Provide guidance to medical staff to ensure quality and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of provider experience.
• State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
• DEA license or willingness to obtain.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain.
• BLS certification.
