Ascension invites a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join an outpatient team serving the Austin area, with weekday hours 9am-4pm and occasional weekend coverage. You will use the Athena EMR and collaborate with physicians and APPs on a shared patient panel spanning newborns to seniors.

Qualifications

• Texas NP credential required before hire.
• Licensed RN credential from Texas required before hire.
• BLS Provider required (AHA/ARC accepted).
• DEA credentialed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate caregivers on treatment options and community resources to improve health literacy.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs in outpatient setting to coordinate care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing require
