Ascension Seton Williamson in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a dedicated cardiology team providing both inpatient and outpatient care. This employed position supports complex cardiac conditions and EP procedures within Ascension's nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Texas Board of Nursing RN license required prior to hire date.

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Administration credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex cardiac conditions and electrophysiology procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with cardiologists on pre-procedure workups, post-intervention recovery, and urgent inpatient consultations.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, risk reduction, and procedural outcomes to support shared decision‑making.
• Ensure seamless continuity of care through accurate, timely documentation and multidisciplinary communication.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of 6 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Combined inpatient and outpatient practice setting
• Employed position within a trusted nonprofit health system
• Guide patient care journeys across both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing complex cardiac conditions and electrophysiology (EP) procedures to optimize long-term outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists on pre-procedure workups, post-intervention recovery, and urgent inpatient consultations to ensure swift patient stabilization.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, risk reduction, and procedure outcomes to empower shared decision-making
• Ensure seamless continuity of care through effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and accurate, timely documentation

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Additional Preferences:

• 2 years of clinical experience in cardiology preferred
• Active Acute Care Certification required for nurse practitioner candidates
