Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in pediatric hematology/oncology for full‑time inpatient care at Dell Children’s Medical Center. You will perform histories, physicals, and clinical observations, order and interpret studies, and coordinate care with families and specialists.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized inpatient care by conducting histories, physical assessments, and observations tailored to pediatric hematology/oncology patients.
• Formulate precise treatment strategies by ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and coordinating care with families.
• Empower families through compassionate counseling and education on treatment options and community resources.
• Document the complete patient journey with accurate medical records in line with standards.

• Document the complete patient journey with precision, maintaining accurate and high-quality medical records in accordance with specialty standards and network policies.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
