Job Title: Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Bellevue, WA, is actively seeking a motivated and client-focused Family Law Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This role offers a rare blend of direct client engagement, exposure to diverse family law matters, and the opportunity to develop courtroom and litigation experience early in your legal career. The position is structured for remote work but requires Washington residency to attend local court hearings and client meetings as necessary.

Duties:

1. Represent clients in family law proceedings, including divorce, custody, and support matters
2. Prepare and draft legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
3. Conduct client consultations, depositions, and settlement negotiations
4. Make court appearances and attend mediation sessions
5. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case activities

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably with exposure to family law
• Willingness to transition into family law from general litigation is acceptable
• Active license in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet time-sensitive deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active Washington State Bar admission required
