Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in Tacoma, WA, specializing in family law, is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney. The firm is known for its supportive and collaborative culture, focusing on providing exceptional client service in divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters. The ideal candidate will have a passion for family law, a commitment to client care, and the ability to navigate complex legal situations with empathy and professionalism.

Duties:
  1. Handle a diverse range of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, visitation, paternity, and protection orders.
  2. Provide legal counsel and representation to clients, guiding them through the complexities of the family court system.
  3. Draft, review, and file legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  4. Conduct thorough legal research on family law matters to stay updated on current laws and regulations.
  5. Represent clients in court, during mediation, and in negotiations with a strategic approach.
  6. Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver seamless service to clients.
  7. Foster and maintain strong client relationships, offering ongoing support throughout the legal process.
  8. Engage in business development activities to help expand the family law practice.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law practice.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
