Job summary

Easterseals Vermont, Inc. seeks a Family Engagement Assistant to support families by transporting children and parents to needed services and facilitating safe, supervised interactions in office and community settings. You will help build a support network for youth in DCF custody and collaborate with the Family Services team.

Strong communication skills, documentation ability, and teamwork are essential. Training and supervision are provided within a mission-driven, family-friendly workplace

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (minimum age 18).
• An Associate’s Degree and experience in Human Services is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required; background check and fingerprinting are required.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets coverage limits is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to needed services and provide supported contact in office and community settings.
• Call family members when youth come into DCF custody to support a network for youth and families.
• Collaborate with the Family Services team and participate in training and supervision provided.
