Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Assistant to support families and children, including transportation to services and facilitating contact in office and community settings. This role helps separated families share time safely while staff collaborate to deliver compassionate services.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, a team spirit, and documentation skills. A high school diploma is required; an Associate’s Degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum age 18.
• Associate’s Degree and experience in Human Services preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass background checks.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to needed services and provide supported contact in office and community settings.
• Support families by helping them maintain contact when youth are in DCF custody and assist in building a support network.
• Document work completed and maintain clear records; work as part of a team.
