Job summary

Framingham Public Schools is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to develop and implement a strength-based approach to family engagement. The role focuses on improving school climate, empowering families, and partnering with community providers to address students’ holistic needs.

The position works within the Office of the Superintendent to expand two-way communication with families and community partners, fostering equity and access to services for all students.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
• Language proficiency: Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is highly preferred.
• Professional experience: experience coordinating with families in diverse/urban communities and managing student supports.

Responsibilities

• Case management: assess student needs and develop support plans.
• Coordinate with community resources to support family engagement and student success.
• Foster a positive school culture and empower families through effective communication.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and external partners to bridge non-academic barriers to learning.
