Easter Seals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Assistant in Middlebury, VT. The role focuses on transporting families to services and providing supported contact in office and community settings to foster safe, productive time for separated families.

Training and supervision are provided, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. The ideal candidate communicates well in person and over the phone, documents work, and collaborates with colleagues to support families involved with DCF.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• An Associate’s Degree and experience in Human Services is preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to needed services and provide supported contact in office and community settings.
• Assist in developing a support network for youth and families in DCF custody contexts.
• Document work completed and work effectively as part of a team.
