YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF METROPOLITAN HUNTSVILLE is seeking a Family Engagement & Events Associate to help plan and run YMCA birthday parties, family events, and community outreach. The role involves on-site leadership, event coordination, and cross‑department collaboration to create welcoming, family-centered experiences.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, service-oriented, and passionate about connecting families to YMCA programs, with availability Saturdays and flexible weekday

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service, membership services, event planning or admin support preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Support planning, preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown of YMCA birthday parties and events.
• Serve as on-site YMCA representative to ensure a welcoming family-centered experience.
• Coordinate event supplies, space, signage, and activity materials.
• Assist with event communications, registrations, and attendance tracking.
• Work cross-functionally with departments to coordinate staffing and space.
• Support safety, risk management, and confidentiality in handling participant information.
• Identify opportunities to increase participation and family engagement.
• Represent the YMCA at community events and outreach activities.
• Must be available on Saturdays; flexible schedule including evenings.
