Job summary

Community Family Advocates seeks a Family Specialist for the Early Learning Resource Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The role manages a caseload for ELRC subsidized childcare, determining eligibility at application and redetermination. You will conduct interviews, explain program policies, and support families through enrollment.

The position requires strong customer service, data entry, and case management skills, with in-person responsibilities at the Wood Street office and a 37.5-hour work week.

Responsibilities

• Explain ELRC services and subsidies to families.
• Interview and collect information to determine eligibility.
• Respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
• Process applications and redeterminations timely.
• Support enrollment and encourage provider selection.
• Inform families of rights and responsibilities.
• Manage caseload for timely enrollment and changes.
• Follow OCDEL eligibility regulations and ELRC policies.
• Use Pelican, SharePoint, and On-Base to manage data.
• Maintain Application Log and NVRA data.
• Coordinate family engagement with providers and programs.
• Identify referrals to community resources.
• Complete trainings and participate in meetings.
