Job summary

PHMC is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist within the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) Family Services team in Philadelphia. You will support families in identifying ELRC services, promote quality early learning, and connect families with regional supports through coordinated outreach and case management.

You will engage with families at events and meetings, share information on programs like CCW and Head Start, and collaborate with eligibility staff to ensure access to ELRC services.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with community engagement, specifically with families in Philadelphia.
• One year of experience with early learning programs and/or needs-based services.
• Associate degree preferred in Social Work or related field.

Responsibilities

• Increase community engagement with ELRC avenues of communication (website, newsletter, etc.).
• Maintain accurate documentation on families assigned to caseload through ELRC engagement activities.
• Promote early learning resources at community events and in family meetings.
• Provide information on supports including CCW, Head Start, Pre-K Counts and related programs.
• Attend periodic trainings to stay current on ELRC services and guidelines.
• Connect families to Resource and Referral Specialists and/or Intake and Eligibility Specialists.
• Develop relationships with ELRC team and community providers to promote high-quality programs.
• Promote Keystone STARS and assist in using COMPASS to identify quality care.
• Complete assigned Family Services activities timely and in compliance with regulations.
