Job summary

The agent will plan and teach educational programs on healthy choices, safe homes, community health, and family resources, while building leadership through Kentucky Extension Homemakers and related programs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing with groups and individuals.
• Ability to use the computer for program delivery and management.
• Ability to visit clientele at sites throughout the county and to plan and teach educational programs.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to serve as a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of work based on locally identified needs.
• Plan and implement educational programs focusing on making healthy choices and promoting healthy homes and communities.
• Access nutritious food and empower community leaders.
• Develop leadership programs such as Kentucky Extension Homemakers to build personal and organizational leadership skills.
