Job summary

City Care seeks a motivated, detail‑oriented leader to oversee the daily operations of our family navigation center serving families experiencing homelessness. You will supervise housing navigation staff, support training and development, manage two shifts, and ensure safe, welcoming, client‑centered housing re‑housing and early intervention services.

The role is grant funded for four years, requires strong organizational and crisis management skills, and emphasizes data compliance, HMIS

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shelter services, housing services, case management, recovery, justice work, or related field.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to complete data entry accurately and on time; HMIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and caseload assignments across assigned shifts.
• Supervise, coach, and support housing navigation staff to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Maintain shift schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Implement and uphold operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to internal agency policies and safety protocols.
• Monitor incident reports, documentation, and follow‑up processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely HMIS data entry and compliance.
• Support tracking of program outcomes and reporting requirements.
• Monitor supply levels and coordinate operational needs.
• Address guest concerns and assist staff in de‑escalation and crisis response.
• Coordinate with partner agencies case management staff and other program teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Support implementation of best practices for low‑barrier, client-centered housing navigation operations.
• Maintain a safe, trauma‑informed, and welcoming environment for families and staff.
