Job summary

The Villages of Indiana is seeking a Family Community Specialist Level II to provide supportive services to children and families, including education, child development, homemaking, and child and family well-being.

You will work with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families, develop knowledge of local services, and complete timely reports. Regular statewide travel and on-call rotations are required. We offer a team-focused environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years full-time employment experience providing direct service to children and families. Experience must include service to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children.
• Availability to work some evenings/weekends.
• Regular travel throughout the state of Indiana and reliable transportation.
• Participation in a rotation of on call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive services to children and families including education, child development, homemaking, and child and family well-being.
• Work with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families.
• Develop a working knowledge of services available within each community for the child and family.
• Complete reports and documentation timely and according to organizational and contract standards.
• Gauge levels of academic needs and develop individualized plans for each child to reach academic standards.
• Utilize and grow knowledge of school and community academic resources to help children reach academic standards.
