Job summary

The Villages of Indiana is seeking a Family Community Specialist Level II to provide supportive services to children and families, including education, child development, homemaking, and well-being. You will work with hard-to-reach families, develop school and community resources, complete timely reports, assess academic needs, and travel across Indiana to serve diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of full-time employment experience providing direct service to children and families.
• Availability to work some evenings/weekends.
• Regular travel throughout Indiana and reliable transportation.
• Participation in a rotation of on call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive services to children and families including education, child development, homemaking, and child and family well-being.
• Work with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families.
• Develop a working knowledge of services available within each community for the child and family.
• Complete reports and documentation timely and according to organizational and contract standards.
• Gauge levels of academic needs and develop individualized plans for each child to reach academic standards.
• Utilize and grow knowledge of school and community academic resources to help children reach academic standards.
