RWJBarnabas Health's Children’s Specialized Hospital is seeking an Early Intervention Educator to deliver family-centered educational services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays across Mercer County. Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Certification: Current Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification and/or other qualifications acceptable under NJ Department of Health guidelines.
• License: Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
• Experience: Minimum of two years teaching young children with disabilities; pediatric experience for evaluations may be required.
• Knowledge: Understanding of typical infant/toddler development, IFSP processes, family-centered practices, and Birth to Three standards.
• Skills: Ability to coach families, integrate intervention into routines, collaborate with team, and adapt strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings and evaluations in children’s natural environments to identify needs.
• Develop, implement, and update IFSPs with families, coordinators, and team members.
• Provide direct early intervention services across physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive domains.
• Develop and monitor measurable, functional intervention plans aligned with IFSP outcomes.
• Coach parents and caregivers by modeling evidence-based strategies for daily routines.
• Collaborate with occupational, physical, and speech therapists and other educators to coordinate services.
• Utilize NJ Birth to Three Standards as a framework for expectations and progress.
• Document evaluations, session notes, progress reports, and service records in a timely manner.
