Job summary

Community Partnership for Families of San Joaquin is seeking a Career & Family Navigator to recruit and retain adult participants and coordinate services within a neighborhood-based family resource center in Stockton, CA. The role emphasizes intake, assessment, and developing individualized service plans with a focus on overcoming barriers to employment.

The Navigator will build relationships, work with diverse families, and participate in cross-training and workshops led by the Site Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with at least one year experience in Human Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Social Work or relevant area preferred.
• Experience with job placement processes.
• Preferred experience with at-risk populations and welfare/food stamp systems.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid license & insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs case management and administrative functions as part of an integrated service team.
• Engages with informal service providers to support families.
• Assists with Family Resource Center operations and coordination of services.
• Participates in job development training and cross-training.
• Develops and implements plans to recruit program participants.
• Develops and implements strategies for participant retention.
• Conducts outreach to engage new referral sources and participants.
• Handles intake and assessments for program participants.
