You will collaborate with the Program Director, manage staff, analyze data to identify trends, and uphold trauma-informed practices while balancing regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting community impact.
Ready to lead with purpose and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? Join CPLC’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) team and help create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every new arrival has the opportunity to thrive.
Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967 and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969. CPLC is committed to empowering individuals through health & human services, housing, education, and economic development.
CPLC’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is committed to promoting the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied children, and other eligible individuals and families through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. Our vision is for all new arrivals to be welcomed with equitable, high-quality services and resources so they can maximize their potential.
You will serve as a key leader within the ORR program, working closely with the Program Director and serving as a secondary liaison with the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
You will direct day-to-day program activities and help ensure the safety, security, and well-being of campus residents. You will provide leadership and direction to staff, establish priorities, and ensure program operations remain effective, efficient, and compliant with Federal, State, and local regulations and guidance.
You will maintain current knowledge of ORR policies, procedures, and practices related to the operation of a Residential Shelter for Unaccompanied Children. You will also analyze program data and reports to identify trends and patterns, assess needs, and take appropriate action.
This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a trauma-informed environment for both residents and staff.
You are an experienced and compassionate leader who understands the complexities of child welfare, social services, and trauma-informed care. You are comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment and know how to balance the needs of residents, staff, program operations, and regulatory requirements.
You bring strong communication and organizational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to lead teams through competing priorities. You understand that working with vulnerable populations requires professionalism, empathy, consistency, and a high level of emotional intelligence.
If you have experience with clinical services, crisis intervention, family preservation, kinship care, or child welfare, your experience will be especially valuable in this role.
We recognize that our success is driven by great talent, and that's why we provide a comprehensive and competitive suite of benefits to serve you and your family.
