Job summary

South Coast Community Services is seeking a Parent/Caregiver Partner to mentor parents and caregivers within the High-Fidelity Wraparound program. The role centers on guiding families through Wraparound, using lived experience to navigate systems and prepare for team meetings.

As a Wraparound team member, you will help families engage with Child and Family Team meetings, ensuring their voices and priorities shape plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; writing skills to document accurately.
• Lived experience as a parent/caregiver preferred.
• Experience navigating child welfare, juvenile justice, education or mental health systems.
• Willingness to access community resources.
• Commitment to cultural respectfulness and healthy boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage families with reassurance and confidentiality.
• Orient parents to Wraparound processes using lived experience.
• Support parents to advocate for themselves and access resources.
• Encourage involvement of extended family and supports in planning.
• Prepare families for meetings and support decision making.
• Ensure parents' voices and cultures are reflected in plans and strategies.
• Provide direct services to support CFT plan implementation and crisis support.
• Promote parenting and self-care skills through meetings and group sessions.
• Advocate for families and participate in quality improvement activities.
