Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. in Burlington, MA invites a Fall 2027 Co-op for an R&D Coffee Process Engineer. You will learn the end-to-end coffee manufacturing process and contribute to developing K-Cups and other coffee products, gaining hands-on experience in roasting and tasting.

You will collaborate with R&D scientists and engineers to design and execute lab, pilot, and full-scale manufacturing experiments, applying statistics and food science concepts to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate enrolled in a full-time program in food science or engineering.
• Majors include chemical/mechanical engineering or related sciences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to changing needs.
• Interest in coffee and product development.

Job Overview:

Fall 2027 Co-op - R&D Coffee Process Engineer

As a

you will get to improve the coffee manufacturing process and work directly on developing products enjoyed by millions of Americans.

This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit.

Schedule:

• The KDP Fall 2027 Co-op program runs from July 12th – December 10th, 2027
• Location: Burlington, MA
• Full-time; 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday
• 8:00am until 5:00pm
• Hybrid

As an R&D Coffee Process Engineer co-op, you will:

• Learn about the process of making coffee from harvest to brewing
• Understand and work on the manufacturing process and equipment utilized to create K-cups and other coffee products
• Get hands‑on with development of products including roasting and tasting
• Work with fellow R&D scientists and engineers to create and execute lab, pilot, and full‑scale manufacturing experiments to support coffee product development and process improvement
• Apply and develop technical skills for statistical analysis, food science, chemistry, physics, and more

Total Rewards:

• $31/hr
• Paid bi‑weekly
• $5,000 sign‑on bonus paid within first 30 days of employment

Requirements:

• Undergraduate currently enrolled in a full‑time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in food science, engineering (chemical, mechanical, etc.), or other related scientific fields
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills including excellent listening, writing, and verbal abilities
• Ability to work cross‑functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes
• Understanding of experimental design and execution
• Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Passion for coffee and learning!
