Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer (Falcon Flight Operations) to ensure flightworthiness of Merlin and Stage Propulsion hardware across build, test, and flight. You will define requirements to improve reliability and enable rapid reusability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include anomaly investigations, data reviews, and developing automation for rapid analysis. On-site work in Hawthorne, CA with travel for testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience working with engines or fluid systems.
• Hands-on hardware experience in propulsion or related hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand Falcon propulsion systems and flight hardware.
• Make critical decisions for Merlin and Stage Propulsion during build, test, and flight.
• Define and validate acceptance and operational requirements for reliability and rapid reuse.
• Lead propulsion anomaly investigations and drive to resolution.
• Develop automation to enable rapid test and flight data analysis and verification.
