Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Falcon) to assemble and test rocket hardware and sub-assemblies. The role demands hands-on mechanical ability, the willingness to learn, and the discipline to work safely and autonomously on schedules.

Responsibilities include staging, installing, testing, de-staging engines, troubleshooting engine and cell systems, and using test instrumentation. ITAR rules apply; multiple shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, military, assembly, fabrication, aviation, or automotive settings.
• Certificate from an accredited trade program in A&P, manufacturing or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Clean tools, valves, regulators and maintain a clean work area.
• Stage, install, set-up, test and de-stage engines.
• Troubleshoot engines and cell systems.
• Operate test cell instrumentation and use test units per instructions.
• Accept or reject test units based on data and results.
• Perform work according to procedures, specs and test instructions.
