Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time substitute teacher who can share biblical knowledge and effective teaching with students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive and capable of engaging learners.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, delivering LifeWise lessons as needed, implementing provided curriculum, maintaining a safe and organized classroom, following discipline policies, and

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program’s student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
