Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Midland, TX is hiring a Faith-Based and Community Engagement Specialist. The role focuses on coordinating partnerships with faith-based and community groups to support CPS and CPI goals, while developing volunteer programs and training resources across local and state levels.

Essential duties include program development, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in community engagement, faith-based partnerships, volunteer management and/or Child Protective Investigations and/or Child Protective Services work.
• Ability to develop, coordinate, and promote volunteer programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong public speaking and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with faith-based and community partners to support CPS/CPI goals.
• Identify and forecast service needs and meet with faith/community leaders.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal/external meetings and work groups.
• Manage local/ regional volunteer and intern programs and online platform.
